The functions of images in Graphic Design

The use of imagery

Photographic images or illustrations is the mainly straight way to communicate to a wide audience. There's a technical basis for this: Our mind processes any kind of image shape, a illustration, even an outline of a figure much more rapidly than it does a word or judgment.

There's a marketable cause, too. Design must talk to a wide audience and speak quickly. This is partly because we are busy with visual messages we see graphic design everywhere. How much time do u dedicate to scanning a magazine ad. A design often has a part of a second to control attention and communicate. If the message is not convincing or clear, the opportunity is lost.
